What airports are closest to the rental? |

Palm Beach International (PBI) is about 45 minutes from the Florida WEB House. However, you may choose a variety of other area airports which may have lower rates. Most other airports are between an hour and a half and two hours from Hutchinson Island. Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Miami International (MIA), Orlando International (MCO) and Orlando Sandford are all within easy driving distance and can be good alternatives. |

Does rent include utilities? |
| |
Yes, your rental includes all utility fees including electrical, water and cable TV. The unit does not have internet or telephone. |

Is Internet available? |
| |
Currently Internet is not provided. We are looking into adding this service in the future. |

Are there laundry facilities? |
| |
A free washer and dryer are located in the carport closet for your use. |

Is there a cleaning service? |
| |
No. While staying at the unit, you'll be expected to do your own housekeeping. When you leave, we'll supply the final cleaning and make sure your sheets and towels are cleaned. |

When is garbage and recycling pickup? |
| |
Garbage is collected Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Place the garbage in the supplied container and take it to the curb. There is a blue recycling container for your bottles, cans and newspapers. |

Are there movie channels on the cable television? |
| |
No. The cable service includes basic channels, but does not include premium movie channels. We have included a DVD player for your entertainment, plus a nearby Redbox provides $1 per night movie rentals.

How do I reserve my date? |
| |
Check that the date you want is not already reserved on the site's availability calendar. Next fill out the request form and a contract will be sent. A small deposit will hold the unit for the date and the balance will be required before arrive. |

What do I do about keys? |
| |
Arrangements will be made for you to have a key before you arrive. We'll also tell you where to place the key when you leave. |

I lost my key. What do I do? |
| |
Call us. We'll supply you with another key. No problem! |

Can I have my mail forwarded to the unit? |
| |
Yes. For seasonal stays only, we'll supply you with the mailbox key. Please separate the unit's mail from your own. |

Is lawn care provided? |
| |
Yes. We cut and trim the grass as needed. You can also notify us if other lawn service is needed due to storms or other weather conditions. |

What do I do in the event of a hurricane or tropical storm? |
| |
If a hurricane or storm requires manditory evacution, you'll be refunded the pro-rated amount that your stay was shortened. However, hurricanes are extremely rare on Hutchinson Island. Only two hurricanes hit the island in the past 50 years. |

Is the water safe to drink? |
| |
We've supplied a filter for the water. While it's safe to drink, most people prefer to use the filter. Of course, don't drink water from the intercoastal or the ocean: Filtered or not, it's just unsafe for human consumption. |

Is there a grocery store on the island? |
| |
Publix has a major store located on the southern part of Hutchinson Island. It's about 6 miles from the house. |

Is there a swimming pool? |
| |
No. The residents of our area voted against the pool membership provided by Windmill Village. While we've maintained our beach access rights, we have no right to use the swimming pool. The clubhouse and pool facilities are not included. |

Does the unit allow pets? |
| |
Small pets are allowed at an additional cost. You must receive pre-approval before bringing your pet to the unit. |

Does the beach allow pets? |
| |
St. Lucie County beaches prohibit pets on the beach. The unit's beach is located in St. Lucie County. However, Martin County does allow pets on several of their beaches. Many of these beaches are just a short walk or drive from the unit. Please check signs posted at the beach for what's allowed. |

I want to rent from Wednesday to Tuesday. Is this possible? |
| |
Our contracts run from Sunday night through Saturday night, except for seasonal or monthly rentals. Exceptions can be made if they are possible. |

I will only be in Florida for January and February. Can I rent for just the two months? |
| |
There is a substantial demand for seasonal rentals -- January through March. Priority will be given to the seasonal rentals. If the unit is not rented for the season in December of the prior year, we will consider a short season rental. |

Is there a shopping center in the area? |
| |
The Treasure Coast Mall is the nearest large shopping center. It's located about 10 minutes away. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, the Palm Beach Gardens is just 40 minutes away on I-95 South. |

Is there a drug store in the nearby? |
| |
The CVS store is just minutes away to the south on Hutchinson Island. |
|

How far is Disney World from the unit? |
| |
Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World are located about 2 hours away in Orlando. Travel is via the Florida Turnpike. |

How long will it take me to drive to Key West? |
| |
While Key West is about 271 miles away, the time it takes can be very long. In heavy traffic, travel can take 6 hours or more. |

Is there an outlet mall nearby? |
| |
Vero Beach has a great outlet mall just about 40 minutes away. |
|

Is there any danger from the power plant on the island? |
| |
While there is a nuclear power plant on Hutchinson Island, it poses no danger. If a problem arises at the plant, a warning will alert residents. |

I was thinking of watching a space launch. How much travel time should I plan? |
| |
Plan on a 2-hour trip to the cape. There are no guarantees that a launch will happen at the scheduled time, so plan for disappointment. But if you do see a launch, it's spectacular! |

Should I be concerned about sharks when swimming in the ocean? |
| |
About 5 people world-wide die from shark attacks each year. That's very rare! If you swim at a guarded beach, such as Jensen Beach or Stuart Beach, the lifeguards will warn swimmers of sharks in the water. Private and unguarded beaches do not have this feature. If you're at all concerned, use the public guarded beach. |

Should I be concerned about ants or bugs in the house? |
| |
We pay for a bug service at the unit. There should not be any ants or bugs in the house. If you see any, please let us know and we'll provide additional pest control. |

| |
If it's an emergency, call 911. Any other question, give us a call. |
|

What sea life should I expect to see? |
| |
Manatees and dolphins are often seen in the waters of the Intercoastal (ICW). Sea turtles are seen on the beach at night. If you snorkel, several reefs are nearby at the south of Hutchinson Island and larger reefs can be found off-shore Jupiter Island to the south. |

Can I fish from the dock? |
| |
Florida requires a salt-water fishing license. A license can be obtained online at http://myfwc.com/license/ |

How far is the beach? |
| |
The Windmill Village private beach is located on the east side of Hwy A1A, just past the clubhouse. It is within walking distance of the WEB House. |

Can I invite family and friends? |
| |
Yes. However, the house was equipped for four occupants. If you plan to have more than four guests (including yourself) then another rental should be considered. |

How cold does it get in the winter? |
| |
Our average high temperature in January and February is about 67 degrees. There are times when the temperature approaches freezing. That's very rare. |

How hot is it in the summer? |
| |
Our average high temperature in July and August is in the mid 80's. The ocean breeze during the summer makes it very confortable. |

I have young children. Are they allowed? |
| |
Your children are welcomed at the WEB House. Just remember the 4 person rule. |

Do you provide a microwave and an iron? |
| |
The unit includes a microwave, an iron and ironing board. |
|

Is there a place to launch a boat nearby? |
| |
The free public boat ramps are located near the causeways. This is within a 1.5 miles from the unit. |

Do you provide boat trailer storage? |
| |
There is not room for trailer storage on the property. You'll need to make arrangements to store your trailer at Sundance Marine or other storage facility. |

Are there any water sports equipment at the unit? |
| |
The unit has a kayak and boogie board for your use. |
|

Is a deposit required? |
| |
A deposit of $500 is required for the Winter Season rental. A smaller deposit is required for the weekly rentals. |

Is the unit air-conditioned? |
| |
The WEB House has new central air-conditioning. |
|

What do I do to checkout of the unit? |
| |
Just leave on the proper day before noon. We'll take care of cleaning. In the unlikely case that we find items missing or damaged, we'll take the replacement cost out of the deposit and send you the balance. Otherwise, expect your deposit returned within 7-days. |

Is smoking allowed in the unit? |
| |
The WEB House is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted! |
|

How safe am I walking at night? |
| |
Crime is considered low on the island. While it's considered safe to walk, it's always a good idea not to walk alone. |

How far from Holly and Dan and what's their gate code? |
| |
Many of our renters are friends of Holly and Dan MacVeagh. They live in Windmill Village, just across the canal from the WEB House, within walking distance. You'll often see them boating by or walking near the house. Sorry, but you'll need to ask them for the gate code :-) |
